Background In recent literature, different approaches have been proposed to improve the long-lasting treatment of age-related alterations on the human face with decreased invasiveness and side effects such as scar tissue. Voltaic arc dermabrasion is a minimally painful procedure that does not create discomfort to the patient and requires no anaesthesia. Aims The aim of this investigation was to evaluate the voltaic arc technique for the treatment of skin wrinkles in the periauricular area.
